I'm interested in the career field of graphic arts because it incorporates the things that I enjoy doing. As a graphic designer, I would be using my imagination daily to find new, creative ways to present different ideas to the public, and I would be using the computer, pens and paper, and my own creativity. I love using programs like Corel and I'm interested in Photoshop, I enjoy using the computer to make graphics with both pictures and text, and I just really love drawing.

In short, a graphic designer is someone who designs visuals (graphics!) that make a point to the public. There are different types of graphic designers - ones who design advertisements, signs, logos, packaging, printed items, and people who create illustrations for written material. In the end, though, all designers have the same goal: To send some sort of message across using graphics. ¶
